Kathreen Khavari

Kathreen Khavari (born June 23, 1983) is an American actress, writer, and producer. She gained attention for her sketch Brain of Terror, which went viral after being featured on Upworthy. Khavari is best known for her roles as Patricia on HBO's Insecure and Samantha on HBO's Big Little Lies. She has also voiced Ms. Marvel in various Marvel Entertainment animated series and video games. Khavari was born and raised in Oakland, California to Iranian immigrant parents. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in public health and later earned a Master's degree from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Khavari pursued her passion for acting, taking small roles while working in public health.
