Kathryn Hays

Kathryn Hays (1934-2022) was an American actress best known for her portrayal of Kim Hughes on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns from 1972 to 2010. Born as Kay Piper on July 26, 1934, in Princeton, Illinois, Hays grew up in Joliet and attended Northwestern University. She began her career as a model before transitioning to acting. Hays made frequent appearances on episodic TV shows and later gained recognition for her role on As the World Turns. She was married three times, to salesman Sidney Steinberg, actor Glenn Ford, and advertising industry employee Wolfgang Lieschke. Hays had a daughter named Sherri from her first marriage.
