Katya Virshilas

Katya Virshilas is a Lithuanian-Canadian dancer and actress, born on September 10, 1983. After moving to Vancouver, Canada, at the age of thirteen, she began dancing and became the Vancouver British Columbia Dancesport Champion four times between 1998 and 2002. In 2001, she won the Canadian Latin Dance Championship with her partner. Katya Virshilas has appeared in Hollywood films such as Shall We Dance? (2004), Take the Lead, and John Tucker Must Die (both 2006). She has also made appearances on television shows including Smallville, Supernatural, and Psych. Since 2009, she has been partnered with Danish dancer Klaus Kongsdal in the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing series. Virshilas has toured the UK with Pasha Kovalev in their own show.
