Kazia Pelka

Kazia Pelka (born 1962) is a British actress known for her work in UK television. She gained recognition for her roles in popular soap opera series like Brookside, where she appeared in the early 1990s, and Heartbeat, a period police drama series in the late 1990s. Pelka has also made notable appearances in other TV shows including The Bill, Doctors, and Casualty. Born in Dewsbury, West Riding of Yorkshire, in 1962, Pelka comes from an artistic background, with an Irish actress mother and a Polish engineer father. She received her education at Notre Dame High School and trained in acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Pelka was awarded the Wilfred Foulis prize during her time at LAMDA.
