Kehinde Nkosi Andrews is a British academic and author specializing in Black Studies. He is currently a Professor of Black Studies in the School of Social Sciences at Birmingham City University. Andrews is also the director of the Centre for Critical Social Research, founder of the Harambee Organisation of Black Unity, and co-chair of the UK Black Studies Association. He holds the distinction of being the first Black Studies professor in the UK and played a pivotal role in establishing the first Black Studies program in Europe at Birmingham City University. Andrews, who is of British African-Caribbean heritage, earned his PhD in Sociology and Cultural Studies from the University of Birmingham in 2011. He is a prominent media figure, frequently discussing topics such as race, racism, colonialism, slavery, and British nationalism in outlets such as The Guardian, The Independent, New Statesman, CNN, and OpenDemocracy.
