Keir Dullea

Keir Atwood Dullea (born May 30, 1936) is an American actor known for his roles in iconic science fiction films. He gained recognition for portraying astronaut David Bowman in the groundbreaking 1968 film '2001: A Space Odyssey' and its sequel '2010: The Year We Make Contact'. Dullea's filmography includes notable performances in 'David and Lisa' (1962), 'Bunny Lake Is Missing' (1965), and 'Black Christmas' (1974). While he is widely recognized for his work in film, Dullea has also showcased his talent on stage, performing in New York City and regional theaters. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dullea was raised in New York City and pursued an acting career after attending Rutgers University and San Francisco State University.
