Keira Knightley

Keira Christina Knightley (born 26 March 1985) is an English actress known for her work in independent films and blockbusters. She has received nominations for two Academy Awards, three British Academy Film Awards, and a Laurence Olivier Award. Knightley started her career in commercials and television films, with a minor role in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999). She gained global recognition for playing a footballer in Bend It Like Beckham (2002) and achieved stardom as Elizabeth Swann in the Pirates of the Caribbean series. Knightley also appeared in Love Actually (2003). In 2018, she was appointed an OBE for her contributions to drama and charity.
