Keith Barron Biography
Keith Barron (8 August 1934 – 15 November 2017) was an English actor and television presenter. He appeared in films and on television from 1961 until 2017. Barron's notable television roles included the police drama The Odd Man, the sitcom Duty Free, and Gregory Wilmot in Upstairs, Downstairs. Born in Mexborough, Yorkshire, Barron began his acting career at the Sheffield Repertory Theatre. He gained recognition in the early 1960s as Detective Sergeant Swift in the Granada TV series The Odd Man. Barron's breakthrough came with his portrayal of Nigel Barton in Dennis Potter's Stand Up, Nigel Barton and Vote, Vote, Vote for Nigel Barton. He later appeared in Potter's Play For Today episodes.
