Kenichi Matsuyama Biography
Kenichi Matsuyama (松山 ケンイチ) is a Japanese actor known for his affinity for strange character roles. He gained international recognition for his portrayal of L in the Death Note film series, as well as his lead role in the film adaptation of Haruki Murakami's Norwegian Wood. Matsuyama started his career as a model in 2001 and made his acting debut in the television series Gokusen in 2002. He has since appeared in various films and stage plays. Notably, he voiced the role of Balthazar Bratt in the Japanese dub of Despicable Me 3. Matsuyama graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan Toyama High School and uses the katakana spelling of his first name for his stage name.
