Kenneth Colley is an English film and television actor, born on December 7, 1937, in Manchester, Lancashire. With a career spanning over 60 years, Colley gained recognition for his portrayal of Admiral Piett in the Star Wars films 'The Empire Strikes Back' (1980) and 'Return of the Jedi' (1983). He appeared in various British television shows, including the 1970s police drama 'The Sweeney' and the Monty Python-related production 'Ripping Yarns.' Colley also worked with director Ken Russell, featuring in several of his television and film projects. Notably, he played the Duke of Vienna in the BBC Television Shakespeare production of 'Measure for Measure' in 1979. He continues to be a respected figure in the industry.
