Kenneth Farrington (born 18 April 1936) is a retired English actor known for his roles in popular television soap operas. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Billy Walker, the rebellious son of a publican, in ITV's long-running series, Coronation Street. Following his success on the show, Farrington transitioned to film acting before landing the role of power-hungry character Tom King in Emmerdale. After his character's highly publicized death in 2006, Farrington mostly retired from acting, but has made occasional TV appearances. Born in Dulwich, South London, Farrington attended Alleyn's School and was married to actress Patricia Heneghan from 1961 to 1981. He was taught by Michael Croft, who advised against pursuing acting professionally.
