Kenneth Tigar (born September 24, 1942) is an American actor and translator. He is best known for his roles in American television shows. Tigar was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts and raised in the Greater Boston Area. He received his BA and Ph.D. in German literature from Harvard University, where he was active in theater as both an actor and director. Tigar has appeared in numerous TV shows, including a starring role as Captain Jensen in L.A. Heat from 1997 to 1999. He has also made guest appearances in shows like Cheers. In addition to his work on television, Tigar has had film roles in movies such as Lethal Weapon 2 and The Avengers.
