Kenny Ireland (7 August 1945 – 31 July 2014) was a Scottish actor and theatre director. He was best known for his role in Victoria Wood: As Seen on TV and as Donald Stewart in Benidorm. Ireland was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland and had a prominent career in Scottish theatre. He served as the director of the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh for ten years. Ireland made a controversial exit from the position, criticizing the Scottish arts establishment and the Scottish Executive. He also appeared in an episode of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. Ireland's directing credits include Guys & Dolls, A View from the Bridge, Rome, and more.
