He started his career as a child actor and gained recognition for his role as Atreyu in The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter. Morrison's debut performance was as Tom McKaskel in the TV movie The Quick and the Dead, based on the novel by Louis L'Amour. He has appeared in various TV series such as Our House, Who's the Boss?, and Growing Pains. In Star Trek: Voyager, Morrison portrayed the introverted young Bajoran Gerron in the episode 'Learning Curve.' Additionally, he has appeared in films like Little Athens. Morrison is also actively involved in directing and photography.
