Kerry Butler

Kerry Butler is an American actress and singer, best known for her work in theatre. Born in the Bensonhurst neighborhood of Brooklyn, Butler began her acting career at a young age and has been involved in the industry ever since. She gained recognition for originating the roles of Barbara Maitland in Beetlejuice, Penny Pingleton in Hairspray, and Clio/Kira in Xanadu, which earned her a Tony Award nomination. Butler graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre. In addition to her stage work, she has appeared in various television shows and movies throughout her career.
