Kevin Conroy

Kevin Conroy (November 30, 1955 – November 10, 2022) was an American actor known for his portrayal of the DC Comics superhero Batman in various animated media. Born in Westbury, New York, Conroy moved to Westport, Connecticut, at a young age. He began his acting career in stage performances and appeared in a variety of television series and films. However, it was his iconic voice work as Batman in the acclaimed animated series that brought him widespread recognition. Conroy continued to voice the character in multiple animated television series, feature films, and video games over the next three decades. He held dual American and Irish citizenship and had a challenging upbringing due to his father's alcoholism, which led to periods of estrangement but eventual reconciliation.
