Kevin Cronin Biography
Kevin Patrick Cronin Jr. (born October 6, 1951) is an American singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and pianist for the rock band REO Speedwagon. Born in Evanston, Illinois and raised in Oak Lawn, Cronin learned to play guitar and attended St. Linus Catholic Elementary School before graduating from Brother Rice High School in Chicago. He joined REO Speedwagon in 1971, recording one album before leaving and pursuing a brief solo career. Cronin returned to the band in 1976 and played a pivotal role in their success, writing hits such as "Keep on Loving You" and "Can't Fight This Feeling".
