Kevin Dunn

Kevin Dunn (born August 24, 1955) is an American actor known for his supporting roles in various films and television series. He has appeared in movies such as Dave (1993) as White House Communications Director Alan Reed, Godzilla (1998) as U.S. Army Colonel Hicks, and Small Soldiers (1998) as Stuart Abernathy's father. Dunn has also been a part of the Transformers film series, playing the role of Sam Witwicky's father Ron. In addition, he portrayed Ben Cafferty, the misanthropic White House Chief of Staff, in the TV series Veep. Notable television appearances include True Detective (2014) and The Mosquito Coast (2021). Dunn was born in Chicago and comes from a family with a musical and artistic background.
