Kevin Hanchard (born July 4, 1974) is a Canadian actor known for his roles as Det. Arthur Bell in Orphan Black and Inspector Sematimba in The Expanse. He currently appears as Superintendent Joseph Donovan in Hudson and Rex. Hanchard was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Jamaican immigrants. He graduated from the University of Windsor with a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts. On stage, he has performed at the Stratford Festival and the Shaw Festival. He has been nominated for the Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male in a Principal Role – Play and was a shortlisted nominee for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at the Canadian Screen Awards.
