Kevin Gerard Meaney (April 23, 1956 – October 21, 2016) was an American stand-up comedian and actor. He began his career in comedy in 1980, performing in Boston and San Francisco. Meaney gained mainstream recognition with his first HBO comedy special in 1986, followed by his debut on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1987. He went on to appear on numerous television shows, including The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and Conan. Meaney's catchphrase, 'That's not right,' became well-known. He also acted in movies and TV shows throughout his career.
