Kevin Page Biography
Kevin Page (born 1957) is a Canadian economist and former civil servant. He is best known for being the first Parliamentary Budget Officer for Canada, a position he held from 2008 to 2013. Page currently serves as a professor at the University of Ottawa and holds the Jean-Luc Pepin Research Chair on Canadian Government. In 2016, he became the head of the Institute of Fiscal Studies and Democracy (IFSD), a think tank focused on public finance and policy. Page was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and attended Lakehead University and Queen's University, where he obtained his M.A. in economics. Prior to his role as Parliamentary Budget Officer, Page worked for twenty-seven years in the Canadian government.
