Kevin Whately Biography
Kevin Whately (born 6 February 1951) is an English actor best known for his roles in popular British dramas. He portrayed Neville 'Nev' Hope in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and Robert 'Robbie' Lewis in Inspector Morse and its spin-off Lewis. Whately also starred as Jack Kerruish in the drama series Peak Practice. Born in Humshaugh, Northumberland, Whately comes from a family with notable connections. His mother was a teacher, his father a Commander in the Royal Navy, and his great-great-grandfather was the Anglican Archbishop of Dublin. In addition to his iconic roles, Whately has appeared in various other films and television shows.
