Kevyn Aucoin

Kevyn Aucoin (February 14, 1962 – May 7, 2002) was an American make-up artist, photographer, and author. He gained prominence in the 1990s for his 'sculpted' look, which was popular among celebrities and top models. Aucoin worked with numerous notable figures including Whitney Houston, Cher, Madonna, Cindy Crawford, and Janet Jackson. He is credited with popularizing facial contouring techniques, previously used mainly in drag culture and stage makeup. Aucoin authored several influential books on makeup techniques, revolutionizing the industry. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Aucoin was adopted as an infant and grew up in Lafayette. He is regarded as one of the greatest make-up artists of the modern age.
