Khalid Abdalla Biography
Khalid Abdalla (born October 26, 1980) is a British actor and activist. He gained international recognition for his role as Ziad Jarrah in the 2006 film United 93, which was nominated for an Academy Award and won a BAFTA. Abdalla also starred as Amir in The Kite Runner and appeared alongside Matt Damon in Green Zone. He played himself in the documentary The Square, which won the Audience Award at the Sundance Festival in 2013. Abdalla is a board member of the National Student Drama Festival and was one of the founding members of the Mosireen Collective in Cairo, a group of filmmakers and activists supporting citizen media.
