Kiley May Biography
Kiley May is a Mohawk and Cayuga storyteller, actor, screenwriter, filmmaker, and two-spirit activist based in Toronto. Born in 1986/1987, May grew up on Six Nations of the Grand River, an Indian reserve in Ontario. Despite facing discrimination due to transphobia and homophobia, May pursued her education at Ryerson University, where she studied journalism. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for creative writing. May identifies as genderqueer and gender non-conforming, and uses she/her and they/them pronouns. In 2017, she served as the Youth Ambassador for Pride Toronto. Notably, May received the Magee TV Diverse Screenwriters Award in 2020 from the Toronto Screenwriters. She continues to make significant contributions in the entertainment industry as an actor and screenwriter.
