Kim Hawthorne is an American actress known for her roles in both Broadway productions and television dramas. She started her career on Broadway and daytime soap operas before transitioning to supporting roles on prime time dramas. From 2000 to 2005, she was a regular cast member on the CBC Television police drama, Da Vinci's Inquest. One of her notable roles was as Kerissa Greenleaf in the Oprah Winfrey Network drama series, Greenleaf, which aired from 2016 to 2020. Hawthorne was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, and received her Bachelor of Arts in musical theatre from Birmingham–Southern College. She has also appeared in various other TV shows, including I'll Fly Away and All My Children.
