Kimberley Nixon

Kimberley Nixon (born 24 September 1985) is a Welsh actress known for her role as Sophy Hutton in the BBC One period drama Cranford. She has also appeared in films such as Wild Child and Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. Nixon gained further recognition for her roles as Josie Jones in the Channel 4 comedy-drama Fresh Meat and as Sarah Pearson in the BBC Two comedy Hebburn. Born in Bristol, Nixon was raised in Pontypridd, Wales, and attended Pontypridd High School. She trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and signed with Universal Studios before her graduation. Nixon is also a former member of the National Youth Theatre of Wales.
