Kiran Shah Biography
Kiran Shah (born 28 September 1956) is a British actor and stunt double. Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Shah developed an interest in films while living in India. He began his career in show business as a stand-in for the film Candleshoe (1977). His talent caught the attention of stunt coordinator Bob Anderson, who gave him the opportunity to perform stunts as well. Shah's first major role was as Bolum in The People That Time Forgot (1977). Frequently mistaken for Deep Roy, another Nairobi-born Kenyan actor of Indian descent, Shah holds the Guinness World Record for being the world's shortest stuntman. With appearances in 31 films as an actor and 37 as a stuntman or body double, Shah has contributed to numerous blockbuster films, including Superman (1978), Superman II (1980), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), and The Dark Crystal.
