Kirk Taylor Biography
Kirk Taylor is an American actor, acting teacher, and musician. He has worked in film, television, and stage throughout his career. Taylor is well-known for his roles in movies such as Full Metal Jacket, Death Wish 3, School Daze, The Last Dragon, The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, and the Broadway Tour of Five Guys Named Moe. Born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Taylor started performing on stage during his time at Central High School. He was the first Black student to become the King of The Barnum Festival, a statewide scholastic and leadership competition. Taylor attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he earned a BFA with a major in drama and a minor in music. He studied under renowned acting instructors such as Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, and David Garfield.
