    Kirk Torrance Biography
    Kirk Torrance is a New Zealand actor and playwright. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Wayne Judd in the popular television series Outrageous Fortune. Prior to his acting career, Torrance was a Commonwealth Games swimmer. In 2003, he won the Best New Playwright award at the Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards for his debut play Strata. He has appeared in notable projects including the New Zealand film Stickmen (2001) and the award-winning television drama Fish Skin Suit (2003). Torrance also hosted a series of the New Zealand version of The Real Hustle. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Qantas Film & Television Awards in 2008. Torrance, a graduate of Toi Whakaari New Zealand Drama School, is of Ngāti Kahungunu Māori heritage.
