Kit Harington, born Christopher Catesby Harington on December 26, 1986, is an English actor best known for his role as Jon Snow in the HBO fantasy television series Game of Thrones from 2011 to 2019. He received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Jon Snow and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and two Primetime Emmy Awards. Harington graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and made his professional acting debut in 2009 in the West End play War Horse. He also produced and starred in the 2017 BBC drama series Gunpowder.
