    Kristopher Nathan Humphries (born February 6, 1985) is an American retired professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played for various teams including the Utah Jazz, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, New Jersey / Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics, Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, and the Atlanta Hawks. Prior to his professional career, Humphries played college basketball for the Minnesota Golden Gophers of the University of Minnesota. He also represented the United States men's national basketball team. Humphries was born in Minnesota and is of African-American descent from his father's side. He achieved early success in competitive swimming, holding the US national record for the 50-meter freestyle for 10 and under boys.
