KRS-One

Lawrence Parker, professionally known as KRS-One, is an American rapper and actor from the South Bronx. Born on August 20, 1965, he gained fame as a member of the influential hip hop group Boogie Down Productions, which he co-founded with DJ Scott La Rock in the 1980s. KRS-One is renowned for his socially conscious lyrics and thought-provoking songs such as 'Sound of da Police', 'Love's Gonna Get'cha (Material Love)', and 'My Philosophy'. After La Rock's tragic death, KRS-One continued the group as a solo project and achieved success with his solo albums. He is known for his active involvement in politics and promoting awareness through initiatives like the Stop the Violence Movement. Additionally, KRS-One is a dedicated vegan activist.
