Kurt Sutter

Kurt Sutter (born May 5, 1960) is an American screenwriter, director, producer, and actor. He is best known for his work on the TV series The Shield, where he served as a writer, director, and executive producer. Sutter also appeared on the show as hitman Margos Dezerian. He gained further recognition as the creator of the popular FX series Sons of Anarchy and its spinoff Mayans M.C., where he wrote, produced, directed, and portrayed incarcerated club member Otto Delaney. Sutter conducted extensive research by spending time with an outlaw motorcycle club in Northern California for Sons of Anarchy. He is married to actress Katey Sagal, who played the main character Gemma Teller on the show.
