Kyle Secor (born May 31, 1957) is an American actor known for his work in television and film. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Detective Tim Bayliss on the crime drama series Homicide: Life on the Street (1993–1999). Born in Tacoma, Washington, Secor grew up in Federal Way and graduated from Federal Way High School in 1975. Despite his aspirations of becoming a professional basketball player, Secor's extreme near-sightedness led him to pursue a career in acting. After attending a community college, he moved to Los Angeles where he performed in various plays. Secor's first major television role was on the soap opera Santa Barbara.
