Bunbury comes from a diverse background, with her father being Guyanese-Canadian. She has three younger brothers named Teal, Mataeo, and Logan. Before pursuing acting, Bunbury started her career as a model and later transitioned into acting at the suggestion of her agency. She made her on-screen debut as Kathleen in an episode of Days of Our Lives and appeared in movies like Prom and The Sitter. Notably, she played Eva in the CBS series Under the Dome and gained recognition for her lead role as the first female player in Major League Baseball in the Fox drama series Pitch.
