Laganja Estranja

Laganja Estranja, born Jay Evan Jackson on December 28, 1988, is an American choreographer and drag queen. Known for her appearances on the sixth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, Laganja finished in eighth place. In 2021, she publicly came out as transgender. Raised in Dallas, Texas, Laganja attended the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She holds a BFA in dance from the California Institute of the Arts. Laganja made her drag debut in 2011 at Micky's West Hollywood, winning the Amateur Competition and becoming an official 'Showgirl.' She later won 'Queen of Queens' at 340 Nightclub and 'Best Newcomer' in West Hollywood.
