Lalaine Biography
Lalaine Vergara-Paras (born June 3, 1987) is an American actress, singer-songwriter, and bassist. She gained recognition for her roles as Miranda Sanchez in Lizzie McGuire, Abby Ramirez in You Wish!, and Kate in the 1999 remake of Annie. Lalaine began her career in Broadway, appearing as Young Cosette and Éponine in Les Misérables. Afterward, she pursued a music career and signed with Warner Bros. Records. Lalaine released one studio album and one extended play, but they achieved limited commercial success. Born in Burbank, California, to Filipino parents, she spent her early years in Burbank and Sherman Oaks. Lalaine is commonly credited by her first name only.
