Lance Bangs (born September 4, 1972) is an American filmmaker and music video director. He gained recognition for directing the David Cross film, Let America Laugh. Bangs is best known for his involvement in MTV's Jackass television series and its subsequent movies. Born in Sacramento, California, he co-founded the Flicker Film Festival in Athens, Georgia in 1990. Bangs has directed music videos for various artists including Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Green Day, Arcade Fire, and Kanye West.
