Landon Donovan

Landon Timothy Donovan (born March 4, 1982) is an American former professional soccer player. He is considered the greatest American player of all time and is frequently debated with Clint Dempsey for the title. Donovan holds the world record for the most international assists (58) and is tied with Dempsey for the most international goals scored by an American player (57). Donovan began his career with Bayer 04 Leverkusen in 1999 and later played for the San Jose Earthquakes, Los Angeles Galaxy, Bayern Munich, and Everton. He is also the co-founder and vice-president of soccer operations for San Diego Loyal SC and serves as a strategic advisor for Lincoln City.
