Lara Flynn Boyle is an American actress, born on March 24, 1970, in Davenport, Iowa. She gained recognition for her role as Donna Hayward in the television series Twin Peaks (1990–1991). Boyle's notable film credits include Wayne's World (1992), Red Rock West (1993), Threesome (1994), Cafe Society (1995), and Happiness (1998). She also portrayed Assistant District Attorney Helen Gamble in the ABC series The Practice from 1997 to 2003, earning a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Boyle has Irish, German, and Italian ancestry and is named after a character in Boris Pasternak's novel Doctor Zhivago.
