Larry Bryggman

Larry Bryggman is an American actor born on December 21, 1938, in Concord, California. With Swedish descent, he attended the City College of San Francisco and the American Theatre Wing in New York City. Bryggman made his off-Broadway debut in 1962 with A Summer Ghost. He is best known for playing the role of Dr. John Dixon in the soap opera As the World Turns from 1969 to 2004. Bryggman received two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Actor in a Drama for his portrayal of Dr. Dixon. Additionally, he has appeared in films such as Spy Game (2001) and Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995). Recently, Bryggman appeared as George Helms, a past Medical Director, on the Netflix show New Amsterdam (2022).
