Lawrence Gene David, born on July 2, 1947, is an American comedian, writer, actor, and television producer. He is best known for co-creating the hit television sitcom Seinfeld with Jerry Seinfeld, where he served as head writer and executive producer for the first seven seasons. David gained further recognition for his semi-fictionalized role in the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm, which he created and stars in. He has written or co-written the story of every episode since its pilot in 1999. David's contributions to Seinfeld earned him two Primetime Emmy Awards. With 27 Emmy nominations and three Golden Globe nominations, David is considered one of the most influential comedy personalities in the industry.
