Larry Poindexter is an American actor and singer, born on December 16, 1959, in Dallas, Texas. He gained recognition for his role as LAPD Captain Tom Fuller in the 2003 film S.W.A.T., where he played alongside Samuel L. Jackson's character 'Hondo'. Poindexter also appeared in the ABC soap opera General Hospital as Asher Thomas in 2005, a role that ended tragically when his character was shot and killed. He has made appearances in other popular soap operas such as Santa Barbara and Days of Our Lives. Additionally, Poindexter had a recurring role as Dalton Lowne, a lawyer and love interest of Major Sarah 'Mac' MacKenzie, in season 3 of JAG.
