Lars Mikkelsen Biography
Lars Mikkelsen (born May 6, 1964) is a Danish actor known for his roles in various TV shows and films. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Troels Hartmann in the drama series The Killing and Charles Augustus Magnussen in Sherlock. He also played the Russian president Viktor Petrov in House of Cards on Netflix, Stregobor in The Witcher, and Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels and Ahsoka. Mikkelsen was born in Gladsaxe, Denmark, and grew up in the Nørrebro district alongside his younger brother, actor Mads Mikkelsen. Before pursuing acting, he served in the Royal Danish Army and worked as a street performer. He later studied at the National Theatre School of Denmark and graduated in 1995.
