Laura Ruth Harrier is an American actress and model. She began her career in the modeling industry at the age of 17 after being discovered by a location scout. Harrier moved to New York City where she worked with prestigious agencies such as IMG Models and Wilhelmina Models. Her modeling work included features in mainstream magazines, campaigns for Urban Outfitters, Macy's, and Steve Madden, as well as being the face of Garnier. Harrier transitioned into acting and studied at the William Esper Studio. She gained recognition for her role as Destiny Evans in the 2013 reboot of the soap opera One Life to Live. Her breakthrough came in 2017 when she portrayed Peter Parker's love interest Liz Allan in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Harrier further impressed audiences with her performance as civil rights activist Patrice Dumas in BlacKkKlansman (2018), earning her a Black Reel Award nomination.
