Laura Leighton

Laura Diane Leighton is an American actress best known for her roles as Sydney Andrews on the television series Melrose Place and Ashley Marin on Pretty Little Liars. Born on July 24, 1968, Leighton began her acting career in the early 1990s with commercials for Pizza Hut and Dep Hair Gel. She landed her breakthrough role as Sydney Andrews on Melrose Place, originally intended for only two episodes but developed into a full-time role for seasons 2 to 5. Leighton appeared on several magazine covers during the show's run. She left the show in 1997 after her character was seemingly killed. Leighton has also made appearances in other TV shows and films.
