Laura Vandervoort

Laura Dianne Vandervoort is a Canadian actress born on September 22, 1984. She gained popularity for her roles in various TV shows. Vandervoort portrayed Sadie Harrison in the CTV teen drama series Instant Star, Arla 'The Bolt-Gun Killer' Cogan in the Syfy supernatural drama series Haven, and Kara Zor-El (Supergirl) in The CW serial drama series Smallville. She also played the character Lisa in the ABC science fiction series V. In 2014, Vandervoort starred in the Space channel drama series Bitten, based on Kelley Armstrong's book series Women of the Otherworld as Elena Michaels. Raised in Toronto, Ontario, she has a diverse background in sports, including football, karate (second-degree black belt), basketball, tennis, gymnastics, and baseball.
