    Laura Wright is an American actress known for her roles in various television soap operas. Born Laura Sisk in Washington, D.C., she grew up in Clinton, Maryland. Wright made her television debut in 1991 on the daytime soap opera Loving, playing the character Ally Rescott Bowman. She continued to portray Ally in the spin-off series The City from 1995 to 1997. From 1997 to 2005, Wright played Cassie Layne Winslow on the CBS soap opera Guiding Light. In 2005, she joined the cast of General Hospital as Carly Corinthos, a role that earned her a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in 2011.
