Lauren Boebert

Lauren Opal Boebert (born December 19, 1986) is an American politician, businesswoman, and gun rights activist. She is currently serving as the U.S. representative for Colorado's 3rd congressional district. Prior to her political career, Boebert owned Shooters Grill, a restaurant in Rifle, Colorado, where staff members were encouraged to openly carry firearms. A member of the Republican Party, Boebert gained attention during the 2020 United States House of Representatives elections when she unexpectedly defeated incumbent Scott Tipton in the primary election. In Congress, she has aligned herself with conservative groups such as the Republican Study Committee, the right-wing Freedom Caucus, and the pro-gun Second Amendment Caucus. Boebert narrowly won reelection in 2022 against Adam Fri.
